Underactive
Thyroid

When I was 42 I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid
and was prescribed Thyroxine and was on this medication for
six years. During those six years I continued to battle with
my weight, but no matter what I did, the scales just kept
creeping up to over 80Kg. This was making me depressed and
then other health issues started to occur. My iron levels
dropped to almost Zero, I was bleeding in the stomach, had
oesophageal problems and no matter what I ate or drank,
there was a constant burning and the feeling that something
was stuck.
I
was tired and lethargic and would struggle to get out of bed
by midday. My joints started to become painful with the
onset of osteoarthritis and needed strong pain-killers each
night to ease the pain so I could get some sleep.
PMT was a terrible time of the month and laid me up in bed
for 2 days with constant pain tablets for a week. I suffered
quite regularly from Haemorrhoids – but the ones that I had
could not be operated on – just had to grin and bear till
they had subsided, which sometime would take up to two
weeks, with very costly medications.
- Underactive thyroid/health
results: I started the Herbalife products at the
beginning of June 2003, hoping to lose some weight, but
did not expect these products would give me the results
that occurred.
- 1. Within one week, my
thyroid levels had normalised and was able to cease
my medication and I have no need to ever take it again –
All my blood tests show normal levels.
- 2. Within three days – no
heartburn or pain and can eat and drink anything.
- 3. Within the first two
weeks,
my iron levels had risen and the bleeding in the
stomach had stopped. My iron levels have been normal for
months now.
- 4. By the fourth day I had
heaps of energy to burn and woke in the morning

no longer suffer from joint pain and have not taken
any pain tablets for the past 10 months.
- 6. I have not had a case of
haemorrhoids since June 2003.

have lost 20Kgs and feel proud and confident in
myself and have never felt healthier in all my life.

Underactive Thyroid Diet -Noleen Eksteen
- My name is Noleen Eksteen. I am 37 years old. I
also have an underactive thyroid and have been using
Eltroxin 0.1mg once a day for almost 17 years. I had
however gained weight through the years after trying
every possible diet and ended up a massive 63 kg's
